The only inherent weight loss from keto is the water weight. The reason people use keto for losing weight is it let's you consume lots of fat which is very filling compared to carbs, so you get more bang for you calorie buck so to speak. I can be satisfied on 1400 calories on keto for the day where before it would be like 2200 not on keto.
